John：Come on! We have been here for almost an hour! I thought you said you were only going to get a few things! How long does it take you to pick out a lipstick and some nail polish!

Daphne：Are you crazy? You have no idea what you are talking about! Just for my eyes I have to get eyeliner, an eyelash curler, eye shadow, an eyebrow pencil and mascara. Then I need to get foundation, liquid foundation.
（你有病吧？我不知道你在说什么！我就买一点眼妆用品，眼线笔，睫毛夹，眼影，眉笔和睫毛膏就好了。然后再买点底妆用品，粉底液什么的。）
John：Whoa, whoa, whoa! Are you nuts? How much is all this going to cost? I'm looking at the price of each one of these little things and it's outrageous! This is basically a crayon!

Daphne：What about you? You spend as much or more money on your razors,after-shave, cologne and gel! Not to mention how much you spend on clothes and...

John：Fine! Get the stupid thirty dollar crayon!

语言剖析

1. I want to pick up a few things.

pick up还有一个意思表示买东西，还记得在买咖啡哪一节课中pick me up a cappuccino吗？Pick up也表示买东西，意思是帮我买一杯卡普奇诺

2. Will you take long？
Will you take long？ 要花很长时间吗？
演讲比赛快要开始了，你的朋友竟然忘了带U盘，要回宿舍拿？这时候你就可以惊讶的说，What？Will you take long？什么？要花很长时间吗？

3. You have no idea what you are talking about!
have no idea 知道
我不知道除了用I don’t know还可以说I have no idea. What happened？I have no idea.
也可以用I got no clue.来表示我不知道，clue的意思是线索，I got no clue.我毫无头绪，我不知道，语气更强一些也可以用问句Who knows？来表示我不知道

4. Are you nuts？
Are you nuts？ 你疯了吗？

5. It's outrageous!
It's outrageous! 太离谱了！
It's outrageous! This dish costs me 1000 thousand 's outrageous!
这盘菜竟然收我1000块，太离谱了！
