  Where Is the Hat?

Jack is a little goose. He has a lovely hat. He likes wearing it very much. But when he sits, his hat can’t stay on his head.

He puts his hat down and begins to play game with the hat. When he gets tired of the game, things are not the same.

He can’t find his hat. Where is it? Jack thinks hard. He looks up and down, and walks here and there. He can’t find his hat yet.

At this time, his mother comes in. As soon as she sees Jack, she cries, “Oh, my dear! Don’t be foolish. Your hat is on your head.”

Jack feels very foolish. He doesn’t want to wear his hat on his head.

There were two pots on the bank of a river. One was made of brass, and the other was made of clay.

When the water rose they both floated off down the river. The earthen pot tried to stay away from the brass one.

So the brass pot cried out, "Fear nothing, friend, I will not hit you."

"But I may come in contact with you," said the earthen pot. "If I come too close, whether I hit you or you hit me, I shall suffer for it."

After that the earthen pot floated away.

  A Cat Is Fishing

A cat goes to a river every day. He wants to go fishing. But he can’t catch any fish.

One day, he goes to the river as usual. Suddenly a fish comes out. He catches the fish. He is very happy. He forgets to put the fish in the basket. He dances and sings. He shouts, “I have a fish! I have a fish!” All his friends come to see him.

“Where is your fish? Let us have a look at it. ” his friends say.

“It’s there, near the bank.” the cat answers. But he can’t find the fish. When he sings and dances, the fish jumps back into the river.
