　　　　　　　　　Fair Daffodils,we weep to see
　　　　　　　　　　　　You haste away so soon;

罗伯特-赫里克（1591-1674），英国诗人，出生于伦敦，就读于剑桥大学圣约翰学院，获文学硕士学位。主要作品有诗集《赫斯帕里迪斯》等。

在这首诗中，诗人以黄水仙凋谢得太快来感叹人生匆忙而短暂，是一首典型的借物抒情的诗。诗句感情真挚，而郭沫若的翻译，更是用丰富的汉语词汇使这首诗的词句更为动听。
