什么是英语对偶句常见的短语

英语中有很多的对偶词构成的短语，在会话或者写作中用得巧会为我们的话语添彩，为我们的文章增色。下面是本站小编整理的，欢迎阅读。

对偶是用字数相等、结构形式相同、意义对称的一对短语或句子来表达两个相对或相近意思的修辞方式。当然，要两面对称不能多字也不能少字。

对偶句就是把意思相近或相反的两个句子或词组对称地排列在一起的一种修辞方式。

运用对偶时，一要注意内容形式的统一，切忌片面追求形式上的整齐对称而任意拼凑。二要注意前后句子之间的逻辑关系，避免头重脚轻，互相包容或概念重复等现象。

(1)back and forth：来来回回，往复

The swing moved back and forth.秋千来回摆动

(5)(go through)fire and water：赴汤蹈火

He said he would go through fire and water for her

(6)here and there：四处，到处

Flowers can be seen here and there in spring

(7)neither here and there：题外话的，与主题无关的

He talked for two hours，but his remarks were neither here and there

(8)high and low：到处，四处

I looked high and low for my watch

我四处寻找我的手表

(9)blow hot and cold：犹豫不决，举棋不定

My relationship with him blew hot and cold，sometimes we met every day;sometimes we didn't see each other for months

(我和他的关系时冷时热......)

(10)the long and short of it：总的来说

The long and short of it is that he can't cope

总的来说，他不善于应付(各种情况)

(11)more or less：多少有点，左右

I was more or less tired after the trip

旅行后我多少有点疲劳

(12)sooner or later：迟早

Sooner or later he will come
