Yesterday, I witnessed a theft incident on my way home. The thief was so rampant that it left me a deep impression。

It happened during the rush hour, when many people were buying tickets at the subway station. After a woman bought her ticket, she put her purse back into her bag and ready to leave, when a middle-aged man brushed past her muttering “Excuse me”. She didn’t feel anything unusual and went into the station. Indeed, her purse had been stolen by that man. To our surprise, the thief seemed not to be nervous at all and even began to look others up and down. Maybe he was searching for the next target. At that Time some passers-by, including me, witnessed the process. But unfortunately, no one dared to warn that woman。

This incident makes me feel ashamed and leaves me in deep thought. The pickpockets have posed a great

threat to residents’ property. Undoubtedly, it is urgent to take actions to prevent such social evils. However, it cannot only depend on the police only. Instead, it needs our common efforts. We shouldn’t keep silent any more. We should be aware that our forces are far beyond those thieves。

A Food Poisoning Accident

Last month, I witnessed a food poisoning accident happening to my classmates. At that time the situation was really very dangerous and urgent. Though finally they got out of danger, this accident is still vivid in my mind.

It was one of my classmates Julie’s birthday that day. In order to celebrate it, her roommates bought a big birthday cake for her from a supermarket nearby. They shared the cake happily. However, after a while, all of them felt abdominal pain, nausea and dizziness. Two of them even cannot stand up because of great pain. We rushed to send them to the hospital. It turned out that the cake they ate had expired its guarantee period. Fortunately, due to timely treatment, they all recovered very soon.

However, this accident leaves me pondering. I think it is very urgent to take effective measures to improve food safety. Firstly, the government should strengthen supervision and administration on food safety. More importantly, to those immoral businessmen, more strict punishment should be given.

One Hundred and Six Pens

While I was reading, the telephone rang. “Hello, this is He Yu, When do you plan to see your students with me?” The other side of the phone asked. “Well, let us make it at Friday if it’s ok for you!” “Ok, see you that day.”

Having hanged up the phone, I began to recall my days of five months’ internship. Two years ago, I took the position of the grade four practice English teacher in The Quan Nan Third Primary School. The moment I left, I promised to the dejectedly crying students to come back to see them. Now the day came.

What should I bring to them? I considered this question r with a pen twirled around my fingers. Pen? A scene rose before my eyes that those children hold already-short pencils scratching on their papers . Pens were exactly what they needed. It was the best choice. So I went to a shop to choose 106 pens for my 106 students.

I began the trip with a heavy bag of pens. Upon my arrival at school, dozens of students swarmed forward and I was soon crowded around by the bouncing boys and girls. “Miss Xiao, you finally come, we have been looking forward to your coming all the time!” said Li Yan, a well-performed girl.

“Nice to meet you again!” I greeted to them. “Nice to meet you, too!” A voice came from the corner of the class. It was Miao Chen, a boy whose uncontrollable behaviors had always driven me crazy. I was surprised at his reaction for my appearance. “Oh, your English is much better than before!” “He has been learning to learn English since you left!” A boy called out. “He once said he missed you!” Another boy shouted. The crowded exploded with laughter. Miao Chen turned aside to hide his blushes. I came to him and put my hand on his shoulder, “I

believe you are a good boy.” He raised his head and smiled brightly.

“This Time I bring some presents for you.” On hearing the news, the children could not help clapping hands and bouncing around. There were 106 students and each person had one. “Miss Xiao, why do you give us gifts?” asked the boy next to me. “It’s for souvenir.” I replied. “But why choose pen?” He asked again. “You can use it to record what happened every single day. I hope you study happily and write your own life.” I explained. The children nodded without fully understanding. “I promise to keep it and never lose it!” Miao Chen looked towards me with innocent and firm eyes.

When it was time to go, they all came to see me off. They were reluctant to part with me again. “Miss Xiao, will you teach us in the future?” Miao Chen asked me before I went out the school gate. “Maybe not.” I turned around. “You mean this is the last time we meet?” Li Yan whispered disappointedly. “If we have a chance to meet some day, show me the pen and let me know you, ok?” I tried to comfort them. “Ok!” They made a rapid response to me and laughed satisfactorily.

In the glow of the setting sun, I left them. I came with 106 pens in the bag, while I went with full love in my heart.

My first week at USTB

With great expectation and curiosity, I came to the USTB Looking at the place I will stay at for 4 years, I felt as if I’ve already been involved in it.

It is the dorm that firstly surprised me. Compared with the room for eight, new room gave me more free space. The comfortable bed and the combinational shelf promised me a pleasant living surroundings. What’s the most, the public bath just located across from my room.

As for the dining hall, I couldn’t require it better. Although it’s not magnificent, its diversities of food and cheap dish price can make up. However, I hope one day it could be like the dining hall of Harford, another library, where everyone read and studied as well.

To be honest, there are many changed things, of which I felt the most different is the time schedule. There’s no one telling you what to do or when to do in college. You need to your time’s master. Balanced time schedule can not only help make you relaxed, but can also improved the quality of your life.

Those are what I felt and saw in my first week in USTB. To pave the way to my brilliant future, I’ll go straight hopefully and bravely.

Recently I undesignedly read a thought-provoking story,in which the writer vividly told us why tortoise’s shell is not smooth.Apparently it is merely a legend,yet what it reflects is far beyond the story itself.

As far as I am concerned ,the tortoise is undoubtedly ver ,intelligence alone does not lead to what has become a common sense is that virtue of one’s inner nature actually outweigh his intelligent quotient have to admit that the tortoise profits a lot what happens to him in the end? He just fell to the ground and his shell broke into got a narrow escape from death but this miserably left his fame completely in tatters.

Thus we are given to understand that if we desire to win respect from others,initially we are supposed to be trustworthy e the saying,do as you would be done when we treat others openly and warmheartedly will we be treated in a way we are always longing from another perspective,constantly we are too ready to believe the coming of information age, more and more high-tech products have come into our easier access with some undesirable things accompanying a consequence,cheats and frauds are really prevailing currently ronted with such a serious situation,it is high time that we improved self-protecting awareness and think more considerably before we choose to believe sum up,we can’t be too cautious in the ever complex society .

The moral of the story is too complicated a topic to be comprehensively covered in the limited space of my article ay, different people can benefit tremendously from it in various terms .
