Unit 3 At the zoo
第一课时
教学内容：A. Let’s talk
教学目标：1、能够听、说、读句型It’s so……
2、并在情景中熟练应用
教学重点：1、能听、说、认读几个形容词tall fat thin short
2、句型It’s so…
教学难点：句型It’s so…
1、S: The elephant has a long nose. It has big ears. It has a shorttail. It is (so)big. 教师引导学生将这些句子用and连接在一起，并带读：Look at the elephant, It’s so big. It has along nose and a short tail. It has small eyes and big ears.
2、再次播放Let’s talk 部分的教学录音，让学生跟读对话中的句子，模仿发音，要求自然生动。

第二课时
教学内容：A. Let’s learn Let’s do
教学目标：1.能听、说、认读几个形容词tall fat thin short。
2.听懂含有形容词的几个指令，并按指令做动作。
教学重点：1.能听、说、认读几个形容词tall fat thin short。
2.听懂含有形容词的几个指令，并按指令做动作。
教学难点：听懂含有形容词的几个指令，并按指令做动作。
1、出示图片，教师说：You will see a beautiful picture. Look at it carefully and tell us:What’s in it?/What are they?
2、教师快速展示系列动物图片：giraffe, monkey,
3、学生根据看到的图片说说动物单词。培养观察力和记忆力。
4、继续展示图片：两只长颈鹿，对比他们的大小
T: What are they?They are giraffes. Oh, Look! This is very tall. But that is very short. 教师强调tall 和 short。
5、同样出事猴子图片，比较胖瘦，引出单词，教师领读学生跟读学习单词; 教师也可关闭声音, 让学生看动画读单词。
6、播放Let’s learn 部分的录音，学生单词跟读。
7、教师将Let’s learn 部分的单词卡举起，带读，学生以“开火车”的形式练习。如果可能，可以让学生拼读单词。如：t-a-l-l,tall.
8、 教师播放 Let’s do 部分的录音，学生边听边说边做此部分的活动。
9、 教师使用Let’s do 部分的动作图卡，让学生看图说图卡上画的是什么动物做的动作。

第三课时
教学内容：Let's spell
教学目标：1、Let’s spell 本部分通过listen,repeatand chant 达到对单词拼写的练习 2、Circle 圈出听到的单词。write,练习书写四个简单单词。
教学重点：1. 通过listen,repeat and chant 达到对单词拼写的练习。
2. 练习书写四个简单单词。
教学难点：让学生体会字母e的发音，能够独立拼读简单的含有字母e的单词。
(一) 1、播放Let’s spell的录音，让学生听歌谣。
2、让学生跟着动画学说歌谣，同时可用手打节奏。
(二)1、播放Let’s circle的录音,让学生圈出正确的单词。
听音后反复读四个单词，在此基础上进行描红，达到书写格式正确的目的。
(三)当堂训练
看谁拿得快
出示磁卡，让学生拿图片，拿的快的积分。计算最后结果，给与优胜小组奖励。

教学内容：B、Let's learn Let’s do
教学目标：能听、说、认读几个形容词small, big, long, short。听懂含有形容词的几个指令;并按指令做动作。单词small 中[l] 的发音。
教学重点：1.能听、说、认读几个形容词small, big, long, short。
2.听懂含有形容词的几个指令;
教学难点：并按指令做动作。单词small 中[l] 的发音。

教学目标：1.让学生在练习中得以掌握have 和 has 的对比和运用。
2.在情景中运用small, big,, short, tall。
教学重点：1.让学生在练习中得以掌握have 和 has 的对比和运用。
2.在情景中运用small, big,, short, tall。
教学难点：have 和 has 的对比和运用。
1、教师为学生播放本单元第一课时的教学录音，复习单词big, short, small, tall。
2、了解so 的用法。 so 在句子中的意思是：“强调某种程度”。
3、教师出示单词卡片或实物对比的方法，再次认读并复习表示大小、长短的单词big, long, short, small, tall。
4、根据学生对课件的记忆以及平日生活中的观察，让学生说说大象的眼睛、鼻子以及整体的样子。

教学目标：1、通过歌曲检查学生对本课的熟悉和掌握程度;
2、通过做题检查学生对本课的熟悉和掌握程度。
教学重点：1、复习本单元所学的字母、单词和句型。
2、能够准确完成Start to Read和Let’s check的内容。
教学难点：了解Story time部分故事内容，能够听懂、会说，分角色表演故事。
1、放Start to read部分的录音，学生画出正确的句子。
2、做书上Let’s check检查学习情况。
3、学习Let’s sing 和Storytime
4、做活动手册上相应的练习。
5、课外活动(Add-activities)
6、将学会的国家名字说给家长听。

1、全体学生按节奏拍手，拍两下手掌拍两下膝盖。教师吧1-3单元的单词卡片按照节奏规律挂到黑板上，学生拍两下手掌是说出单词，在拍两下膝盖作为停顿;然后继续拍两下手掌说出下一个单词，以此类推。
T: Let’s play the game: Clapping the words. Clap your hands and then clap your knees. Follow me please.
2、教师引导学生吧黑板上的单词卡片进行分类，每一组找一类单词。
国家名：the UK, Canada,the USA, China
家庭成员：grandfather/grandpa,grandmother/grandma, father/dad, mother/mum, brother, sister
形容词：thin, fat, tall,short, long, small, big
其他：teacher, student,pupil, man, woman

3. 整体看图阅读，复习打招呼和介绍朋友认识的用语。
(1)引导学生看课本插图，教师提出问题，组织学生讨论：

(2)引导学生梳理所学的打招呼用于以及介绍用语。
4、整体听对话，获取具体信息。(1)T：where is Johnfrom? Who is the tall girl学生带着目的听对话录音，学生在理解的基础上跟读录音。

2、能够运用1-3单元的词汇和句型描述动物的特征。
3、能够朗读chant 并完成match and read aloud.
教学难点：能够运用1-3单元的词汇和句型描述动物的特征。
1、教师呈现歌谣，引导学生谈论bird和panda的特征，并猜测他们的对话。
2、T：look at the picture. What’s this/that? It’s a panda/bird. What colouris the …? What are they talking?
3、看动画回答问题：Who is small and fast? Who is fat? Who has a short tail? 然后学生模仿录音并跟着动画吟唱。
4、师生谈论每个动物的特征，学生读句子连线，对答案。

2、能够运用1-3单元的词汇和句型描述动物的特征。
教学难点：能够运用1-3单元的词汇和句型描述动物的特征。
1、听音找音素。教师每说出三个单词，学生听音找出相同的音素;复习三年级上册学过的字母与音素的歌谣。
