I have a great time during the winter holiday, because I enjoy myself as well as focus on my study. As it’s known to all, the Spring festival is the most important in winter holiday that would occupy much time to celebrate it. Therefore, I finished my homework first, so that it won’t bother my enjoyment during the festival. I finished my home work in one week. And I went shopping with my parents. We bought a lot of things, especially snacks and fruits. Then, it was the Spring Festival. We had a big dinner on the New Year’s Eve. My parents prepared the big dinner and I could only act as assistant. The dinner was so delicious that I ate so full. In the next several days, my parents and I visited our relatives and friends or they visited us. Sometimes, we went out for fun together. We children were always the most excited. Now, holiday is coming to the end and I will go to school soon. I am so happy that I have a wonderful winter holiday.

我度过了一个很快乐的寒假，因为我不仅玩得开心，也完成了我的学习任务。众所周知，春节是寒假的重头戏，我们会花很多的时间去庆祝新年。因此，我首先要完成作业，这样才不会让它们影响我过节的快乐心情。我用一个星期完成了寒假作业，期间也和爸爸妈妈一起出去购物，我们买了很多东西，特别是零食和水果。接下来，就是过春节了，我们吃了一顿丰盛的年夜饭。爸爸妈妈制作这顿大餐，而我只能帮忙打下手。年夜饭很好吃，我吃得很饱。接下来的几天，我们和亲人朋友互相串门拜年，有时候也一起出去游玩，我们小孩子是最兴奋的。现在，寒假马上就要结束了，我也要去上学了。度过了一个这么快乐而充实的假期让我很开心。

I was so busy in the previous winter holiday for I am going to take the university entrance exam in July this year. Everyday, I buried myself in studying. I had to review each required subject and do lots of exercises. Besides, because I did bad in mathematics and physics, I had to do much more exercises than other courses, which made me discouraged. I spent more than ten hours a day in studying. When I was tired, I watched TV or listened to music for a little while. But It was a big pity that I couldn't go to the see cinema. In addition, I had to refuse all the invitations of friends and relatives. I only called them or sent messages in the New Year’s Eve. I desperately hoped that there is no exam but I know it’s impossible. The only thing I can do is to study hard to get good scores and can be admitted to Tsinghua University.

上个寒假我很忙，因为今年7月我就要参加高考了。每天我都沉浸在学习当中。我必须复习每个要求的科目还要做很多练习。此外，因为我数学和物理很差，我要做比其他科更多的练习，这使我很丧气。我每天花超过十个小时学习。当我累的时候，我就看一小会电视或者听音乐。但是遗憾的是我不能去看电影。另外，我不得不拒绝所有亲戚和朋友的邀请。除夕之夜我只能给他们打电话或者发短信。我很希望没有考试，但是我知道这是不可能的。我唯一能做的就是努力学习，取得好成绩，录取清华大学。

During the winter holiday, I was very happy because of the Chinese new year and other reasons. During the holiday, my parents and I went back to my hometown in the countryside in Hebei Province. I had not come back for several years, so that I was so surprised to find that great changes had taken place in this small village in the past years. Almost every family in the village had color TV set and some of them had computers. Many families had their houses newly built or rebuilt. Previously,could be seen everywhere, but now they have taken on an entirely newlook. Motorcycles or even private cars are not luxuries any more.

寒假期间，因为春节和其他原因我很开心。假期期间，我父母和我回到河北的乡下老家。我已经好几年没回去了，所以看到过去这些年这座小村庄发生的巨大变化我感到很惊讶。几乎村里的每一户人家都有彩电，有的还有了电脑。很多家庭都有了新建的或重建的房子。以前，老式瓦房随处可见，但是现在它们看上去完全是一幅新的景象。摩托车或者甚至是私家车也已不再是奢侈品了。

One of the villagers proudly told me that he and some other villagers were going to join a tour and travel abroad. Previously, the villagers were busy in their farm work all the year round, but now they have much more time and money to relax or entertain. Traveling has become a new trend among villagers. Seeing these amazing changes, my father said that he would go back to my hometown as soon as he retired. As for me, I strongly supported his idea.

一位村民骄傲地告诉我他和其他一些村民跟团出国旅游了。以前，村民们一整年都忙于农活，但是现在它们有更多时间和钱去放松娱乐。旅游已经成为在村民当中已经成为一种新潮流了。看到这些惊人的变化，我爸爸说他一退休就想回到家乡。而我也强烈支持他的观点。
