美国留学签证或改为一年一签

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is reportedly considering a proposal that would require foreign students to reapply for visas every year, reports the Washington Post.

The report in the Washington Post says Homeland is considering the move as part of a tighter national security program.

If implemented, the proposal would add additional costs and paperwork for foreign students, many of whom come from China.

The Washington Post is reporting the plan is in its early stages, and may take up to 18 months to complete.

The proposal comes as the Trump administration moves to tighten immigration controls.

The majority of foreign students in the United States currently come from China, followed by India and South Korea. Foreign students are a major source of revenue for U.S. colleges and universities.
