Ladies and gentlemen,

女士们和先生们，

I feel it a great honor to have a chance to give a speech here, talkingabout the haze weather, which causes lots of bad effects on our health and breathe polluted air, making us suffer from lung and liver diseases. Besides,because of it, the flights have to be canceled. All kind of transports may runinto each other, resulting in much damages and lots of injuries.

我很荣幸能有机会在这里做演讲，和大家谈谈这给我们健康和生活带来不好影响的灰霾天气。我们呼吸这被污染过的空气，让我们遭受肺、肝疾病。另外，由于这天气，航班被迫取消。各种交通工具相撞在一起，造成很大的毁灭和伤害。

As far as I am concerned, it is high time that we did something. Asindividuals, we should ride the underground or buses instead of cars to reducecarbon dioxide. As government, more measures should be taken by carrying out therelated law on pollution.

我觉得是时候我们该做些什么了。我们应该乘坐地铁或公共汽车而不是汽车来减少二氧化碳。政府应该实施更多针对污染的相关法律的。

we have only one earth. but now,the environment becomes worse andworse.

as you know,there's no enough clean water for People. so many of them losetheir lives because of water. in a lot of

countries, people have to cut trees for living. so there's nothing to keepwater from running away. also we have polluted the

land, the river and the air. so we have to face more and more floods anddroughts .

it's time that we must do something useful to protect our environment. wecan plant trees and take good care of them. we can

save the water and ask our parents to do so. we can't throw any litter ontothe ground and we should collect them for

recycling.

if we take good care of our earth today,it will be more beautifultomorrow

a lot of measures have been taken. planting trees helps improve andbeautify the environment. besides, laws concerning environmental protection havebeen put into effect and achieved good results.

however, the problem of environmental protection remains far from beingsolved. on the one hand, the environment pollution and destruction are gettingworse and worse in the modern world. on the other hand, the lack of knowledgeabout the importance of protecting environment hinders the solving of theproblem. in a word, there is a long way to go before we enjoy a clean andcomfortable world.

Caring For Nature--Overpopulation What is nature? It's everything thatexists in the world independently of people, such as pants and animals, earthand rocks, and the weather. Now more and more people are focusing on the is no doubt that the nature is important to every human being. No nature, nolife. Because of the supplies of the nature, we have lived happily for a longtime. And we started to gain every thing available from the nature. And thislasted so long a time. Today, people have discovered that the nature around isgetting worse and worse. What is threatening the nature? Air and waterpollution, overharvesting of plant and animal species, overpopulation and so population is the biggest source of pollution. Let's take overpopulation asan example.

What does overpopulation feel like? When we move slowly through the city ina tazi. When we enter a crowded slum district. When the temperature is high andwhen the air is thick with dust and smoke. The streets are crowded with streets seem alive with people. People eating. People washing. Peopletalking. People sleeping. People visiting each other, arguing and le relieving themselves. People pushing their hands through the taxiwindows, begging. People leading animals. People, people, people, people. As wedrive slowly through the crowd, sounding the taxi's horn, the dust, heat, noiseand cooking fires made it like a scene from hell! I admit, frightening. To thenature, overpopulation is a big problem. More people, more pollution. And thebig population is threatening the nature every second.

There is one thing in common in my family, that is, no matter in myfather’s workbag, in my mother’s purse, or even in my schoolbag, there is a pairof chopsticks. strange? let me tell you the reason. my mom said: “just as if weeat out one time a day, we’ll save 1000 pairs of chopsticks in a year’s means we have saved a big tree.

My dad said: “without every single person, there is no human race. so, itis everyone’s duty to protect the environment. saying a thousand times ofprotecting environment is not as useful as putting a pair of chopsticks in yourbag.

I said: “this is a good habit, i shall pass it to the next generation. thepair of chopsticks reminds us that it is our duty to protect the environment, tosave our planet. my dear friends, have you put a pair of chopsticks in your bag?if you haven’t, just do it now.
