Jane: Mom, I just finished my paper. Can you proofread it before I hand it in？

Mom: Sure, let’s take a look. Sweetie, this is terrific. Your ideas are so original.

Jane: Thanks.

Mom: I can tell you worked hard on it.

Jane: I really did! I started thinking about what I wanted to say three weeks ago.

Mom: Well, it was definitely worth all the time.

Jane: Let’s just hope my teacher agrees.

1.I just finished my paper. 我刚完成我的报告。
句中的paper意为“ 论文；作业”。 finish意为“ 完成；结束”，是及物动词，如果接动词，要用动词的ing形式。例如： I have finish (reading) a book. 我已经读完了一本书。
